About Us
Our Family
Sunrise Bee Company is a small family-run beekeeping operation in rural North Branch, MN managed by Greg and his wife, Sara, along with their 3 budding entomologists…or make that 2 since not everyone is crazy about the bees!
Our Values
We are non-migratory beekeepers who believe that healthy, productive bees come from local adaptation, careful stock selection, a minimum of inputs, and a diverse environment conducive to all pollinators.
Our Mission
Local honey from healthy bees to happy customers

FAQ
I have bees living in my house, shed, birdhouse, etc. Can you come and rescue them?
We only work with honeybees. Most likely the bees you are seeing are not honeybees. Whatever they are, as long as they are not posing a threat to people or structure, we encourage you to leave them alone and even try to enjoy having them around.
Do you sell bees?
Not at this time.
Do you sell queens?
Not at this time, but we hope to in the future.
Is your honey organic?
Bees forage within approximately 2 miles of their colony. A 2-mile radius is about 8000 acres. It simply isn't possible to control what the bess forage on in the 8000 acres surrounding each of our bee yards. For this reason, the USDA does not have a certification for organic honey.
Where do you keep your bees?
During the summer, our bees are located on several private properties throughout Chisago and Isanti counties. During the winter, all our bees are brought back to our North Branch location for easier winter management.
Can you put bees on my property?
It doesn't hurt to ask, but we are not seeking any new locations at this time.
